Helena Bartsch
September 27, 1921 – October 16, 2019
Helena passed away peacefully on October 16, 2019 at Royal University Hospital at the age of 98 years, after an extended battle with ageing and eventually a stroke. She is survived by children Don (Luella) Bartsch, Irene (Gordon) Greenley, Reg (Jenny) Bartsch; grandchildren Angela (Blair) Hockley, Janet (Kevin) Minshull, Jennifer (Frank) Suchorab, Jonathan (Brenna) Bath, Adam (Janelle) Bartsch; great grandchildren Mason and Connor Hockley, Jessica and Katrina Minshull, Noah and Sam Suchorab, William and Adelaide Bath, Pierce and Shane Bartsch; brother Jake Derksen; brother in law Frank (Mathilda) Bartsch, sisters in law Justina Derksen, Hilda (Ben) Harder, Linda Bartsch, Linda Derksen and many friends and extended family members. The family wishes to thank all those who touched Mom’s life; the friends and relatives who helped Mom with the changes occurring in her life during the past few years and especially the care givers at Bethany Manor and RUH. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to MCC or the charities of your choice. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Bethany Manor Fellowship Centre, 110 La Ronge Road, Saskatoon, SK. Interment to follow at Hague Cemetery.
