It is with sad yet joyful hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior at Sunnyside Nursing Home on Saturday, September 9, 2017.
She was predeceased by her husband of 66 yrs, George N. Dash, pioneer parents and brothers, Albert, Fred and Harold; and sisters Nettie and Tillie.
She leaves to mourn daughter Marleen Klassen (Dash), son Lorne (Connie), granddaughter Tammy, great grandchildren Megan, Nathan and Bethany; granddaughter Shauna (Iain) Hotte and great grandchildren Clara, Ben, Clem and Miriam; one brother Clarence, and a nephew and several nieces.
Sarah was a farmer’s wife for 30 years where she and husband George farmed near Glenbain. Upon retirement, Sally found city life full of activities and devoted her time to church community, society meetings , coffee bible studies, running errands and delivering baking and meals to many elderly friends and shut ins. She enjoyed water exercises, time spend with friends, family, her granddaughters and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses involved in her care at St. Paul’s and City Hospitals and especially the staff at Sunnyside Nursing Home for providing compassion and excellent care over Sarah’s last days. Special thanks to Pastor Mike Newson, Pastor Ty McKenzie, family and friends for all your prayers on our behalf. The Funeral Service will be held at Lawson Heights Alliance Church, 159 Pinehouse Drive, Saskatoon, SK on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 1:30pm. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery.
