It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of MaryLou Huebert on December 17, 2017 in Saskatoon, SK. She was 82 years old. MaryLou was born in Carragana, SK on March 4, 1935 to Herman and Elsie Brehmer. When she left home, she moved to Saskatoon where she met Irvine Huebert. They married on September 23, 1955. They had four children and she was a stay-at-home mom until the youngest one started school. She took a job at Intercon Packers and worked hard to save for retirement. At 58, she retired. Irvine and MaryLou enjoyed travelling by car and bus through Canada and the U.S. MaryLou loved nature, birds, flowers, pets, crafts, gardening, camping, fishing and photography. She had a few small collections of spoons, elephants, fridge magnets and fancy glass ornaments. She had a collection of Christian records which she enjoyed. She loved the Lord and looked forward to heaven. After Irvine passed away in 2010, she developed a routine to keep herself busy, with regular outings. She kept up with world news and listened regularly to her favourite TV evangelists. Family was important and she valued her time with children and grandchildren. Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her children, Barbara Barwich of Calgary AB, Sandy Epp of Dalmeny SK, Gary (Sherry) Huebert of Vanscoy SK, and Janet (Mick) Shygera of Calgary AB; her grandchildren Curtis (Diana), Brittany and Andrea Barwich, Cherice and Scott Epp; Dustin, Morgan and Ryan Huebert; and Dawson and Tyler Shygera; her sister Joyce Klassen and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
