Florence Hazel (Dyck) Elias, went to be with her Lord on June 29, 2016 at 1:15 AM. She was born on December 5, 1941 at Clark’s Crossing, Saskatchewan. She was baptized on confession of her faith in Jesus in 1960 by Bishop Abram Buhler in the Bergthaler Mennonite Church in Warman and remained faithful to the end. On July 3, 1960, she was married to the love of her life, Jacob B. Elias by Pastor Jacob Peters in the Bergthaler Mennonite Church in Warman. Together they raised three sons on their farm near Asquith. On the farm, Mom enjoyed caring for the garden, the farm animals and especially her horse, Jet. Mom loved working with, and spending time with Dad, whether it was haying, fishing, fencing, choring or attending church. Mom worked in the Warman Mennonite Special Care Home for 22 years and held the staff and residents there in her heart. Mom moved into the Warman Mennonite Special Care Home on May 30, 2014. Florence was predeceased by her father, John Dyck, and her son Frank Joseph Elias. Viewing will be held on Sunday July 3, 2016 – 7:30 p.m. at Dalmeny Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at the Rheinland Alt Bergthaler Mennonite Church on Monday, July 4, 2016 – 2:00 p.m. Florence is survived by her husband, Jacob Elias; mother, Katherine Davidson; brother, Leonard Dyck; two sons, Peter Elias, John (Joy) Elias; one daughter-in-law, Alaina Elias; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Candace (Tony) Sonmor, Ethan, Holly, Misty (Brent) Afdahl, Paul, Steven (Jen), Thomas; seven great grandchildren, Isaiah, Jenna, Jesse, Kaitlynn, Lydia, Tatum and Wyatt.
