In the early hours of March 16, 2016, Dinah Karpow age 96 years passed on to her home in glory at the Saskatoon Convalescent Home. She was born the second child of three to Karl and Anastasia Sklarenko. Raised on a farm in the Elwell hills west of Arelee, she attended Elwell School. In 1947, she married Alex Karpow and together they farmed near Arelee, SK where they raised a family of two children – Burton their son and Eleanor their daughter. Dinah’s passions in life were the devotion she always exhibited to her family both near and extended, as well as her faith in Jesus Christ. Dinah will always be remembered by all for her generosity and hospitality to everyone, her immense gardens, and her quilt making. Dinah leaves to mourn her son, Burton (Dana) Karpow, her daughter Eleanor (Grant) Ward, four granddaughters and two great grandsons. She was predeceased by her parents Karl & Anastasia Sklarenko and her husband, Alex Karpow, of 47 years as well as her two brothers Tom and Alec Sklarenko. A private family service will be held to commemorate the blessed life of their loved one. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Gideons International.
