It is with immense sadness we announce the passing of Cornie Willms, lovingly known as CJ, in Rosthern on September 24, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. In 1950, Cornie and Alice (Kroeker) were married in Hepburn, SK, a marriage that lasted 67 beautiful years. He leaves behind to mourn his family; Alice, the love of his life, three sons, Murray, Kevin (Sal), Collin (Vicki) and two daughters, Yvette (Ron) and Dori (Rick), along with his many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he dearly loved and was so proud of. Cornie will forever be remembered as a generous, kind and forgiving man, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, a gentle soul with an infectious smile, and a priceless sense of humour who loved to make those around him laugh. He will be deeply missed by all. A Celebration of Cornie’s Life will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Hepburn MB Church, Hepburn, SK. Cornie’s family sincerely thanks the many nurses, staff and doctors at the Mennonite Nursing Home in Rosthern for their affectionate and compassionate care for all the years he resided there.
